E.R.D.E. (heritage, respect, dialogue, engagement) – project grant by the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM) for graduates

The Academy of Media Arts Cologne announces a grant of 6,000 euros for graduates of the KHM for an artistic project that reflects and visualizes current positions on ecology, politics and the environment. Deadline for the application is April 15, 2024.

With this project grant, E.R.D.E. supports the development and realization of an artistic project that deals critically with the topics of ecology and the environment. Whether documentary, fictional or experimental film, animation, VR/AR, games, sound, spatial installation, performance, photography or text-based work, the project developed is free in form.

The project grant is awarded in memory of Steffen Meyn, who saw his studies at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne as an opportunity to become socially and politically involved. Steffen Meyn died in an accident on September 19, 2018 while filming a documentary about the activist protests in Hambacher Forst. The KHM greatly appreciated his political commitment and has taken this as an opportunity to offer this grant.
