Various words related to the act of seeing, such as optical phenomena, light-emitting bodies, physical properties of the human eye and emotional reaction, are painted on the background of different flat colours. The visual appearance with the overall gradation of colours and the tabular formation resembling the periodic table of chemical elements give a visual integration to the fragmented words. Some letters have a blurred and smudged appearance, which gives an extra material property to the painted letters. In this installation, what one sees and what one reads reflect each other, resulting in an endless circulation of seeing, reading, understanding and searching in a closed circle, which reveals the difference between things and how we perceive them.
