Movement, sound, drawing

In this seminar, drawing is understood as a dynamic process, always in motion. It moves from perception to gesture, and from gesture to line. Visual observation is combined with listening, using sound as a perceptual stimulus. Students translate what they see and hear into quick notations, which later become the basis for more complex drawings and sequences of drawn movement. Through a series of guided exercises, we explore movement not only as physical action, but as an experiential and perceptual event. Drawing goes beyond copying what is visible.
