Over two semesters, students will dive deeper to build the second stack - a shared/communal soundsystem from scratch, with experimental publications (think: user guide/manual) that grounds the communal soundsystem. Always with due respect to the Caribbean roots of the soundsystem the seminar invites a collective analysis and response to systemic-oppressive systems while rehearsing potentialities of radical, joyful and rebellious inclusion promised by a soundsystem today, now, here and elsewhere.

The seminar will engage, and make use of the world within and outside of KHM through multiple modalities that starts with operating and activating our first stack of soundsystem as well as excursions including but not limited to: crate diggin’; concerts; archive homes/centres; the streets…
