![]() When I first visited Project Space Sarubia in Insa-dong, I felt it was considerably different from other ordinary galleries. Its surroundings and exterior had little similarities with those galleries and its atmosphere differed completely from the nuance of its name Sarubia. (This space was originally a teahouse named Sarubia before renovation.) Severed and isolated, the place seems to demand a rapport with outer space. This place reminds me of the concept of the maternal body. I intend to execute works of art that aggressively exploit the true nature of this space, in which we feel communicated more readily to people.-hsk |
