Noa Gur’s work explores the entanglement of bodily presence and gaze. She is interested in the correlation between optics, acknowledgement, and legitimacy, which she investigates by reflecting on the conditions of visibility: Why and how do we see what we see? These conditions are questioned or reshaped in her work. Many of Gur’s pieces engage with the exhibition space as an arena of the visible – a channel connecting the authority and its subject. She is interested in the bodily experience of the exhibition space in which both objects and visitors are observed. :
