11 Uhr Meine Eintragungen den ganzen Tag? An der Rosendahl-Website gearbeitet, abends auf das Lichterfest beim buddistischen Tempel...
Breakfast: Dreamt busy dreams again (slept 12 hours!). Old friends (noteworthy that all my asian friends keep appearing night after night. Must be the barrage of asian faces triggering it) - Tammy second night in a row. Brides on Broadway and biking through heavy traffic. Stress working down.

I am very behind on my writing. I think of it always, but still have not developed the habit of the pen immediately in the hand. Alfred has written the beginnings of a novel already...

Spent all day writing letters on the beach. Alfred stayed in the hut working on the computer. We are each of us alone here.

Evening: we went to the buddhist temple for the first night of the Loy Kratong festival. The festival was wonderful, most of all because we finally saw these people in their own world. No facades for the tourists. They gambled and danced and consulted their monks. Sang karaoke - rather professionally. There were three films, out on the grass. Watched Jackie Chan, follwed by a thai film about a young gangster in the 50's. James Dean - Elvis icons, and a bad boy who couldn't escape his fate. Nicely shot. Didn't understand a word, of course.

Open air kino, yeah!

It is still not possible to fathom that we are not going home again in another week, that we will stay months longer. The only indication is remaining in this village, this hut, for a week already. We've never stayed anywhere longer than 4 days on any previous trip.
