1.8.97. Morgens 4 uhr in Verona angekommen. Am Platz neben dem "Colloseum" ein bischen geruht. Achtungsvolle Blicke der städtischen Penner. Warten auf die Öffnungszeit der Banken. Cappucino. Reperatur des Fahrrads. Und ab auf die Piste Richtung Vicenza. Teils eine schreckliche Strecke durch die Suburbs, aber mit etwas Suchen dann schöne Nebenstrecken. Leider flog mir irgendwann ein Staubkorn so unglücklich ins Auge, dass ich für den Rest des Tages auf einem Auge schachmatt gesetzt war. Ein heulendes triefendes Monstrum, nichtgerade das, was man sich unter einem Performer vorstellt. Dank der Hilfe zahlreicher Kleinstadtbewohner wurde das Auge mit Medizin und Sonnenbrille versorgt, sodass die Fahrt weitergehen konnte. Bis nach Padova, wo ich um 22 Uhr in ein Hotelbett fiel.

Cappucino. Repairing the bike. And up on the road, direction Vicenza. Partly a horible way through the suburbs. But I could find nice backroads later. Unfortunatly a piece of dust flew into my eye. A crying monster, not what you expect from a performanceartist. With the help from a lot of people from a small town the eye got medicine and sunglaces, so that I could get on the road again. To Padova, where I fall in sleep at 10 p.m.
