The Backroads-Tour

Summer 1997: The performance is traveling: Through Europe. Multimedia-Streetperformance: Memories to 19th centuries showmans, "exotic presentations" and freakshows. The performance is based on the bamboo-maps from the polynesian sailors which represent a net of the facts of their seatravels . It works with elements of the asian shadowtheater, it is playing with stills from the projection, and presents at the the end of it a kind of temporary exibition. Parallel to that the CD-Rom /Internet Kombination will be presented. A audio/video live-line gives an impression to the users at home from the local situation of the day. Costumers of the CD-Rom get an own userpage. It is made direct on the stage and includes a portrait, which will be used as button.

in the mittle the screen, left and right a bamboocontruction with videostills, in front 2D-figurs and the actor, me, with the hat and in shorts.

Daily performances in festivals, in cultural centers, galeries and museums, but also in churches, philosophical circles, universities, neighbour organisations, local festivities and even barbeque are planed.

All the equipment I have with me, also generator, notebook, but...

technical supply:

- an outside place in the evening, which is protected against the wind, or a small hall.
- a stage 6 to 3 meter, not neccessary higher than the ground
- chairs or sitting pillows
- maybe a better soundsystem
- maybe a telefonline on the stage
- a scenario for breaks, snacks, talks
