Description of the recording place
Denver, CO lies at the foot of the Rocky Mountains at 5,280 feet above sea level and is a fairly large city with a population of over 1/2 million. There are 4 professional sports teams (Nuggets - basketball, Broncos - football, Rockies - baseball, Aralonche - hockey), a U.S. mint which makes U.S. currency, and a thriving performing arts community. Denver was founded in 1861 (pretty young for a city)

Description of the location
We are shooting north of downtown Denver. Behind the salvation army shelter you see in the shot, is the downtown area. The Denver rescue mission (operated by the salvation army) is the building which occupies most of the screen

What is special to the choosen location
I choose this location because I figured it would be one of the few places where there would be some form of activity at 4 am. Also, it shows how some people are forced to live outside and have no homes

What does the recording show
In the middle of the screen, one can see a group of homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk. There is some pedestrian traffic on the crosswalk in front of us, and cars occasional passing by. The neon sign to the right of the screen reads "Jesus saves"

What can be heard
Sounds range form car traffic to human voices. Otherwise, it was fairly quiet for most fo the recording. Near the end, some people asked us what we were shooting. You can hear our conversation with them
