Description of the recording place
Vila Franca do Campo was the first town of this island. At the year of 1522 it
was completely destroyed by a earthquake but nobody died, there were lot of
people injuired. So people start to think, that this was a sign from god, and
every year even now days it still exists a ? around the island at Eastern time.
At the 16 and 17 centuries, Vila Franca harbour was an important economical
harbour for sailing boats coming back from Africa, America and Asia on way
back to Europe.
"Pastel" - a plant that was growing here was exported to Netherland to make
the ipik for the famous Flamish painters.
Description of the location
I have installed the equipment inside of a chapel called "Nossa Senhora da
Paz" - our lady of peace. People from this country have a big devotion and
they build this chapel at 220 meters high, because there is a legend that at
this place it was founded that statue, around the year of 1500.
What is special to the choosen location
It's a traditional and ? place from the Azores. I choose it, because as for
your recomendments to the South, I could show you all together. Orchards, pine
apple green houses. town and the ? from Vila Franca as well as the Ocean.

horns from fishing and bakers distributing their moduets? door by door. When
they arrive in a new street, they announce themselves to their clients.
