Married since 1992 with my wife Nadeschda. She is a professional journalist in
broadcast. We have one daughter Dschamilia. She has two sons, Dschamil 4 years
and Senan 7 month. We have a poodle and a lot of plants at home
Profession
I'm a professional director, I studied cameraman at the national institute of
cinema, faculty of cameraman. Since 1964 I made around 30 movies, and documentaries,
music films, videoclips and 2 animation films. One of them I did in the Babelsberg
studios in 1988
Passion
I have a lot of passion, my wife, my grandchildren, my car. I love experiments
in the kitchen and to take part in such projects like WorldVideo
How do you live
I live in the 8th floor of an apartment house with my wife, which stands on a hill
of the town. The street is very loud. Our children have their own apartment not
very far from ours
What did you do on the day of recording
Today I stood up very early in care that the 9th September has come. When I took
the watch and the microphone in my hands, my hands trembled...if the alarm would
not come...but when the alarm ring I loved you... After the recording I take my
grandson to my home. We are in good friendship. I have been alone, because my
wife was in Beijing at the Women's Conference. So my grandson and I spent the
evening of the 9th September. (Excuse me, we have been three with my poodle)
What would you normally be doing at the time of recording
If I am not doing such a recording, I would prepare recordings of a movie which
I want to realize with my woman. This movie is about our first democratic
parlament, how the parlament survived the last years and what it is today
What do you prefer for breakfast
Our daily breakfast is very simple compared with dinner, sweet tea, butter, cheese,
eggs, sometimes cottage cheese and honey. We can get caviar, if the price is not
eating us up
What do you prefer for the day`s most important meal
I love our national cuisine, it's very aromatic, substantial, very delicious with
spices and it looks very tasty. If you would like to taste, please come and visit.

What do you believe in
I believe in love and the difference of people. I hate envious people. And most
in the world I love children and animals
Your favourite TV show
I like most the one hour magazine "Courier TV", which is once per month created
by my wife. This environmental magazine is even about politics and art. Here you
can learn and hear a lot about interesting and sensational stories from our
country, about special people, foreign life in foreign countries and
big problems. I love the magazine with animals "In the animals world". I am very
obsessed by TV
What did you do in your last vacation
In June I was in Greece with my wife. This was a business trip and holiday. We
have been there with an invitation of the ministry, the press and the mass media.
It was fifty-fifty - we call that vacation. Unfortunately my wife cannot travel
without permission. Vacation is always connected with business, but I am always
in holiday, because I don't make a movie now. I must say that my country gives
no attention to vacation and we can normally not know what it is
What does the word "Time" mean to you
In my age "time" is very precious, but the time is always running.
Yesterday was Saturday and now is Saturday again, one week is gone, therefore I
try to do everything quickly and I drive the car very fast
Why are you interested in the WorldVideo 40North Project
I thought a lot about a better organization of our "Scharik" (ball) and the
connection between the time zones. Part of the people sleep, others are awake,
a lot of children were born in one second and a lot of people leave the world...
I can help you with your project and realize my own idea. It's a great pitty that
I cannot see the result
