Application "Media and Fine Arts" WS 2015/16
The closing date for submissions for the 9-semester undergraduate degree course and the 4-semester postgraduate degree course is over.
The application procedure for the study start in winter semester 2017 will begin in October 2016.

Here is some information about the Academy of Media Arts Cologne and the Media and Fine Arts Program which includes the 9-semester undergraduate (Diploma I) and a 4-semester postgraduate Degree Course (Diploma II).
In case of application for one of the programs, the following material is required:
9-semester Degree Course (4 years):
- some samples of your artistic works - such as videofilms, computergraphics/-animation, photography, scripts, drawings
- a short C.V. or resume
- a certified copy of your school diploma including a translation
- a certificate of a four month work placement in the field of media
4-semester Degree course (2 years)
- Some samples of your artistic works and a project outline
- C.V. or resume
- a university diploma (for the postgraduates)
or a certificate of an at least 2 years artistic work experience in the media (for qualified non-graduates)
The degree is: Diploma in Media and Fine Arts.
All applicants must prove their artistic/creative aptitude with regard to the Media and Fine Arts course based on work samples and a thematic piece of work (applicants for the 9-semester degree course) or a project proposal (applicants for the 4-semester Degree Course) produced specifically for the application.
Please note that every foreign student is obliged to join a certificate of a German language course level B2 (Goethe-Institut, University, Language School) to his/her application. It’s necessary to have at least an average knowledge of the German language because most of the courses are held in German.
KHM itself does not offer language courses.
The Academy of Media Arts Cologne does not grant any scholarsphips. As of now, an amount of € 300 is payable for one semester for both german and international students.
