The Academy of Media Arts Cologne is a public law institution. It is legally represented by the Rector Klaus Jung.
The Rectorate is responsible for the general content of the institution’s main webpages. The online editors (Pressestelle) maintain the server-access pages. The KHM’s various sections are responsible for editing the presentation of their areas. Contact details are found on the respective pages. Queries concerning the editing of these pages should be addressed to the contact addresses given for the section or office in question.

Für die unter "Aktuelles" eingepflegten Beiträge zu den Veranstaltungen der KHM liegt ab dem WS 2008/2009 der Redaktionsschluss immer am Ende eines Vorvormonats für den übernächsten Monat: d. h. zum Beispiel bis zum 30. April 2008 müssten die Angaben für die Veranstaltungen im Juli eingegangen sein, bis zum 31. Mai diejenigen für August, usw.
Bei der Veranstaltungsauswahl werden vorrangig folgende Veranstaltungen angekündigt: alle repräsentativen, offiziellen Veranstaltungen und Reihen der KHM und ihrer Kooperationspartner; sowie Abschlussarbeiten von Diplomanden, Postgraduierten und Fellows; das Programm im Raum Kalk; das Programm im neuen Ausstellungsraum glasmoog. Ankündigungen von Veranstaltungen und Pressemeldungen folgen dem Gebot der Aktualität.

TYPO3 is an open source, PHP based web content management system (CMS) that can be expanded by installing freely available Extensions. For the Academy of Media Arts a few new extensions were coded, i.e. the project archive, staff management or a strongly enhanced news area that can display events, awards and job offers as well as press releases.
The CSS framework Blueprint provides a cross-browser consistent layout base featuring a base grid. Developing a layout on a grid leads to an harmonic, consistent optical appearance with fine-tuned font-sizes, white-spaces etc. If you are interested in an under-the-hood-glance, you can turn on the grid and see how it works.
